Clinical Clay Cross score 13 in a procession of goals
Fears that the Millers might be ring-rusty after a two-week break were dismissed in spectacular fashion as they showed no mercy on a Dinnington side next to bottom in the Central Midlands League, North Division table.
It took them 16 minutes to open the scoring, but from then on, it was a procession of goals as Clay Cross kept up the pressure on leaders FC Bolsover, who were without a fixture. They now sit four points behind them with a game in hand.

Hide AdNathan Jessop got the ball rolling against Dinnington, scoring after a fine run by Callum Lytham. Constant waves of attacking pressure brought two goals for Ant Lynam before a remarkable second half in which the Millers scored ten times.
Lee Clay struck first and after Lytham had hit the target, Reece Treasure weighed in with a brace in a 20-minute onslaught that took the score to 7-0.
From then on, the South Yorkshire-based home side collapsed as Clay Cross goals flowed at a demoralising rate for them. The last six came in the final 15 minutes as man-of-the-match Lytham added two more and Treasure one more to complete their hat-tricks, Mark Needham found the net and captain Dale Crowder headed home in the dying seconds. There was also an own goal, scored by Aaron Fox.
This Saturday, Clay Cross travel to Newark to take on Collingham, who sit ninth in the 16-team table.
