Chesterfield's next match against Dover Athletic postponed due to Covid-19 positive test

Chesterfield’s scheduled match against Dover Athletic on Saturday has been postponed after one of the Whites’ playing staff tested positive for Covid-19.

As a result of the positive test, Dover’s first-team staff and players will self-isolate for 14 days.

No date has yet been set for the rearranged fixture.

The White said in a statement: “Dover Athletic can confirm that our first-team staff and players have now entered self-isolation for a period of 14 days in accordance with National League protocols and Public Health England guidelines after a player tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of Tuesday’s game at Maidenhead United.

“This means our next four scheduled National League fixtures, against Chesterfield at Crabble this Saturday, and against Solihull Moors at the same venue on December 8th, will be postponed until a later date. The same also applies to our games at Wrexham and Wealdstone.”

Chesterfield’s next match will now be next Tuesday (December 8) away at Sutton United (7pm KO).
