Chesterfield’s match at Woking has been postponed due to a positive Covid test in the opposition camp.

The Spireites were due to take on the Cards at the Kingfield Stadium this Saturday but the game will now be rearranged.

Town had numerous fixtures called off last season because of the pandemic but this is the first one so far this campaign.

It means after Barnet tomorrow night Chesterfield’s next match will be at home to Torquay United on Saturday, September 25 live on BT Sport with a 5.20pm kick-off.

Woking said in a statement: “The club can confirm one positive test result in our playing squad, and under National League Covid policies and procedures, both games (against Bromley and Chesterfield) are off.

"Both fixtures will be rearranged, and new dates / kick-off times will be announced in due course.“Tickets for the postponed matches – including hospitality tickets – will be valid for the rearranged dates.”
