Chesterfield vs Oldham Athletic LIVE: Spireites fall to 1-0 defeat as winless run continues

One change for Oldham from the side that lost to Gateshead earlier this week.

The ground is starting the fill gradually - Spireites might be buoyed by the memories of their 2-0 win at Boundary Park back in September. Both goals came in the first eight minutes - with Quigley and King finding the net that day.

The Spireites are out and warming up - just 30 minutes to go until kick-off.

David Webb said the Spireites were focused on putting the result on Tuesday against Wealdstone right - adding that “it’s up to us to lift everyone and get that promotion chase back on track.” Oldham haven’t had much reward on their travels this season - but will be chasing a much-needed three points to give them some breathing room from the relegation zone.

3’: Great run from Clements down the left and he plays a superb ball to McCallum - his glanced header going just wide of the far post. Great chance for the Spireites.

5’: Goal for Oldham. Great work down the right hand side from Ellis Chapman and his ball into box eventually lands at the feet of Devarn Green, who finishes into the bottom corner. Not the start Chesterfield needed here.

8’: Mandeville wins a corner for the Spireites. Short ball to Colclough and he looks to fashion a cross, but nothing coming. Oldham then charge up the pitch and win another corner themselves.
