GOOOOOAAAAAALLL!!! 1-0

MANDEVILLE!!!

1-0 to Chesterfield just before the half-hour mark. Clever play from Quigley allows Mandeville to finish first time inside the area.

Chance for Chesterfield

Some clever play from Jacobs gets him to the byline, he crosses low with the outside of his right foot, but there was nobody there to tap home.

Chance for Maidenhead

Nathaniel-George interceps a pass from Williams, races forward, cuts inside and crosses for Smith but he volleys over.

Some good defending from Freckleton initially but then he played a loose pass which Nathaniel-George latched onto on the edge of the box. He struck the ball first time but Naylor blocked it behind for a corner.

Oldaker slips Dobra in inside the area, he cuts insde on his right foot, but his shot is well blocked.

0-0 afte 20.

They counter down the right with Barratt, Williams lost his footing, allowing Barratt to cut inside, but Tyrer blocked his shot with his feet before collecting.

Freckleton does really well to keep in a pass from Grimes and he gets on his bike down the left before cutting the ball back inside the area. Jacobs slid in but missed it, but Naylor connected but it went flying over the bar.

Well, that was a spectacular entrance!

Now for the football.

‘Paul Cook’s barmy army’ rings around the SMH as Maidenhead get us underway.

Blue and white cards

As the players emerge from the tunnel, fans are being asked to hold up some blue and white cards that have been placed on their seats. It should look great!

Not in the squad today

No Boot, Sheckleford, Horton, Palmer, Colclough, Berry or Grigg in the squad.

Grigg is of course out with a hamstring injury. Berry has had a hamstring injury but has been training but has clearly not been risked. We will ask about Colclough.
