When asked for an update on how Asante is, Rowe said: “Not great, but we don’t know the severity of it still. We will find out this afternoon.

“He has had the scan but unfortunately with everything going on in hospitals at the moment there has been a slight delay.

“We will probably find out this afternoon and then I will have an update for you after the game tomorrow.”

Asante has not scored in any of his last eight games but has still been a key player in Town’s promotion push.
