Jack Lester has been to visit a ‘shaken up’ Jordan Flores in hospital, after the player was involved in a car crash.

The crash happened on Monday morning when the on-loan midfielder was on his way to the Proact for training.

Flores was taken to Chesterfield Royal before being moved to the Northern General in Sheffield, while the driver of the other car was airlifted to Nottingham for treatment.

Lester is still unable to give a full update on the state of Flores’ condition and will wait until specialists have delivered their verdict.

“I’ve been to see him and see how he is, he’s a little bit shook up,” said the manager.

“There’s a group of specialists who will have a look and they’ll make a decision then, but it’s not been made yet.

“I really need to see the results of what the consultants say because I’ll really be just speculating at this stage.”

Although the nature and extent of the Wigan Athletic player’s injuries has not yet been confirmed, the crash is expected to keep him out of action for a significant period of time.

When asked when he thought he’d have the player back in the Proact ranks, Lester replied: “It won’t be soon.”
