Chesterfield announce fourth pre-season friendly against National League North club

Chesterfield have added another pre-season friendly to their schedule.

As has become tradition, the Spireites will travel to National League North side Alfreton Town on Tuesday, July 16.

The Blues beat them 5-1 last year with the goals coming from Laurence Maguire, Armando Dobra, Will Grigg and a Joe Quigley double.

The Reds finished fifth last season but lost out in the play-offs.

Chesterfield have announced another pre-season friendly.

The friendly is the fourth to be announced, with Chesterfield also visiting Matlock Town on July 6 and hosting Sheffield United on July 20 and Derby County on July 24.

The fixtures for the new EFL season will be released on June 26 at 9am ahead of the big kick-off on August 10.
