Burnley's Tom Anderson is Spireites' third Deadline Day signing

Anderson, 22, will spend the rest of the season with Chesterfield. The 6’4” central defender is yet to make his debut for Burnley, but he has had several spells out on loan and made eight appearances for Carlisle United last season.

He joins defender Connor Dimaio and midfielder Gary Liddle as having signed for the Spireites on Transfer Deadline Day.

Chief executive Chris Turner said: “Commenting on the transfer activity, Spireites chief executive Chris Turner said: “I am very pleased with the business we have done before the transfer deadline. We have brought in three players who will strengthen the defensive and midfield areas of the squad.”
