Bridge Inn get first win of the season
It helped them hop above their visitors FC Spotted Frog but they would though suffer a nervous second period.
After they had led 3-0 they were met by a second half revival that saw the visitors lose by the odd goal in five.
Bridge who were seeking not only their first win of the season but their first point belied their early form with a totally dominant first half playing some lovely free flowing football.
To Spotted Frog's credit they kept the deficit to two goals the first a superb stroke from Richard Pearson with a 25 yard effort that flew across the visiting keeper into the far corner of his goal and the second a close range finish from Joe Oakley as the visitors struggled to clear their six yard box.
The second period was a complete reversal of possession with Frog now dominant and with some smart build up play it looked a matter of time before they pulled a goal back.
But they couldn't find the final ball and it was Bridge against the run of play who extended the lead just past the hour mark when captain Harry Oakley lashed home a convincing strike to make it three goals to the good for Bridge.
Frog got a deserved lifeline back into the game when Dean Duquemin converted from the penalty spot on 69 minutes and he would complete a brace with an edge of the box drive to further reduce the arrear.
But there was only three minutes left now and when they had a chance in the final minute that was fired wide the game was up and Bridge would get their points tally under way and overtake their fellow tenants in the league.
