Manager James Rowe is not surprised he has hit the ground running and was impressed with him from the first moment he spoke to him.

"We are working hard to improve his game even further because there are areas of improvement needed,” Rowe told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"He is a born finisher and he is a credit to himself as well because he is a fantastic professional and human being.

"He has got an open mindset to develop himself so he is going to improve even more.

"This is only the beginning for his career and he is going to have a really good solid career ahead of him.

"At the moment he is focusing on improving himself and scoring as many goals as he can for the team.”

Despite his two goals on Saturday against Torquay Rowe revealed the striker was ‘bitterly disappointed’ because they had not won the game.

Tshimanga has already got his first Chesterfield hat-trick under his belt and has been described as ‘ruthless’ by boss Rowe.

The Blues faithful have their own song for him and they hope he keeps finding the back of the net so they can sing it.

"When you purchase a player you want to make sure he is the right human being and he fits into the changing room and all those were ticked for me,” Rowe added.

"It has been a great start for him here and he has built a great relationship with the fans as well.

"We have got a good player on our hands but I want to change that from good to great.

"He has scored nine but he wants a hell of a lot more than that and he is hungry for more.”
