Manager Nicky Law will be looking for his side to end a four-game losing streak during which they have not registered a goal.

Law is expecting to have defender Jordan Keane available despite him having stitches in a head wound during the 2-0 midweek defeat at Gateshead.

Definitely missing are midfield men Nathan Hicks and Andi Thanoj, both long-term injury casualtie.

There are also doubts over central defender Chris Smith, who has a broken finger, and midfield man David Mellor, who has a minor back injury which will need a late fitness check.

Torquay United were relegated from Sky Bet League Two last season but have adapted well to Vanarama Conference life and are currently sat in fifth place - five points behind leaders Barnet but with a game in hand.

On their travels so far, the Gulls have won three times, drawn once - a goalless scoreline at Dartford, and lost three times.

Defeats have been tasted at Gateshead (3-1) on the opening day of the season, 4-3 at AFC Telford United and 2-1 at Forest Green Rovers.

United’s last outing was last Saturday when they came from behind to defeat Wrexham 2-1 at Plainmoor.
