I don’t mean to criticise referees, but it looked like AFC Fylde’s defenders wanted to have a wrestling match with Tom Denton rather than play football.

There were at least four occasions with defenders, inside the box, clearly with their arms wrapped around Denton and also pulling his shirt, in full view of the ref and linesmen.

Still life’s all about being positive and WWE fans at the Proact would have been thrilled as Denton and Lewis Montrose grappled on the floor with neither being given a card.

Nathan Tyson made an impact as soon as he came off the bench with his greatest asset being his pace, which he always had in abundance.

eople around me half expected to see a 37-year-old trundling round the pitch, but he certainly stretched the Fylde defence, a pity the rest of our team had trouble keeping up with him.

Notts County fans seem happy with the move as they’ve just signed another striker and Tyson would have been in fourth place in their pecking order, so it looks like a good move all round.

County’s skipper Michael Doyle got sent off in their 2-0 defeat to Dagenham, so that might even things up a little.

County fans seem to think there’s a hoodoo over them as they don’t do very well live on TV, let’s hope that one continues.
