Asda selling prosecco for £5 to celebrate new royal baby

Asda is encouraging shoppers to raise a toast to the new royal baby this spring with a budget bottle of fizz that costs just £5.00.

Asda's Prosecco Vino Spumante Extra Dry, which normally sells for £7 a bottle, will be on offer for a limited time only at £5.00.

The sparkling wine from the north east of Italy has pear and apple fruit flavours and is recommended to have with pizza or canapes.

The offer is not available online but shoppers can pick up a bottle of the budget friendly bubbly until 02 May – whilst stocks last.

The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to give birth late April or early May.
