Youths damage Alfreton golf course

Police are stepping up patrols after offenders damaged Alfreton golf course.

Over the last week, police have received reports of youths using marker posts to dig up the green on Wingfield Road and damaging on-site equipment.

PCSO Chris Hart, from the Alfreton Town Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We will be carrying out increased patrols and taking action against anybody who isn’t using the facilities appropriately and speaking to those about how their behaviour can affect others, especially those whose equipment has been damaged. I would encourage residents to report any suspicious or anti-social behaviour to us so that we can help deter the issue.” Call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
