WORST SKIN CASE EVER: Can you help Buddy?

A Chesterfield animal sanctuary is appealing for help to care for a dog who was suffering from the worst skin case they have ever seen.

When stray dog Buddy was brought in to St Bernard’s Animal Sanctuary, in Old Whittington, team leader Daphne Shephard was shocked at his condition.

“He was practically bald, his skin was like leather,” she said.

“He was feeling very miserable, his skin was bleeding in places.”

When Buddy was taken to the vets it was found that a severe flea infestation was causing the irritation and infection.

“It could have been prevented so easily, just a few minutes to put flea drops on him would have stopped all his suffering,” said Daphne.
