Woman dies in serious collision on major Derbyshire road

Derbyshire Police are now appealing for information about the crash which took place on the A38 near Coxbench just before 6.40pm on Tuesday, February 9

The northbound carriageway of the A38 between Little Eaton and Ripley was closed after the incident, which involved a lorry and a car.

Sadly, a woman in her 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said their thoughts were with the woman’s family and friends at this time.

Officers investigating the collision would like to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage which could help with their inquiries.
