WINGERWORTH: Man suffers life threatening injuries in collision
A man is fighting for his life after being involved in a road traffic collision in Wingerworth.
The incident occurred at 10.40pm on Saturday, July 6 on the A61 Derby Road.
The man was running along the footpath towards Chesterfield, close to the Hunloke Arms, when he was in collision with a maroon coloured Ford Focus.

Hide AdThe car remained at the scene and the man was treated by paramedics before being taken to Sheffield Northern General Hospital.
A police spokesman said he suffered multiple fractures and head injuries and remains unconscious.
His condition is described as “life threatening.”
Witnesses should call police on 101.
