Derbyshire wakes to a covering of snow just days after temperatures soared to 21c

After an amazing week of weather which saw unseasonal spring temperatures pushing the mercury to 21c in Derbyshire, parts of the county woke up to a covering of snow this morning.

The forecast for the rest of the week seems for settled though – and more typical of this time of year.

The Met Office says the coming week will mostly be marked by sunny intervals and gentle breezes.

Top temperature is predicted to be around 10c, but it will be a chilly start again tomorrow, with temperatures down to -2c overnight.
