Bank holiday weather: Hour by hour forecast for long weekend in Chesterfield

Chesterfield residents are preparing for the long bank holiday weekend to mark the start of May – but what does the all important weather have in store?

Temperatures have taken a tumble this week and this is likely to continue into the bank holiday.

The latest Met Office forecast says Chesterfield will be largely sunny on Saturday, although it will be far from a heatwave with highs of 11C.

Sunday will see some sunshine but also cloudy spells, and it is expected to remain dry with temperatures rising to 13C by the afternoon.

Temperatures are back down to 11C on Monday however, and after showers through the day, heavy rain is forecast for the evening.

Here is the forecast for Chesterfield this weekend:

Saturday 8am-8pm - Sunny spells;

Sunday 8am-8pm - Sunny spells with chance of a shower at 4pm;

Monday 8am – cloudy;

Monday 9am-3pm – light rain showers;

Monday 4pm – light rain;

Monday 5pm-7pm – heavy rain;

Monday 8pm – light rain.
