Weather update: Derbyshire to stay mostly dry

The Met Office has predicted a mostly dry day for Chesterfield, Derbyshire and the East Midlands today, Monday, August 4.

However there may be the odd shower in the afternoon but most parts will see a dry day with some good sunny spells.

It will feel warmer in the light winds.

By tonight, it will stay dry with some good clear spells developing, allowing a few mist patches to form by dawn.

It may become chilly in rural areas.

Top temperatures are expected to reach 21 degrees centigrade and lows may plummet to 13 degrees centigrade.
