“If you store ladders on your vehicle please consider the security methods you use in light of these incidents.”

People have been advised to remove the ladder and store it safely overnight, park in a well-lit area and consider an alarm that can be used on the ladder. A bike alarm lock will possibly disturb an offender if it is being tampered with.

People are asked to report anything suspicious straight away by calling 101, or 999 if a crime is occurring.
