A team of six year 13s at Tupton Hall School clinched the cash in a competition run by Sheffield Hallam University.

As part of the contest, they had to produce a two-minute video explaining what they would spend the money on for their dream prom later this year.

The team outlined that the cash - which could not be spent on food, drink or venue hire - would go towards entertainment including a photo booth and a DJ as well as decorations including historical celebrity cutouts.
