VIDEO: Ross Kemp officially opens Chesterfield's Go Outdoors store

Actor, author and BAFTA award-winning investigative journalist Ross Kemp officially opened Chesterfield's Go Outdoors superstore today.

Ross Kemp cuts the ribbon to officially launch Chesterfield's Go Outdoors.

He cut the ceremonial ribbon, officially marking the new store at Spire Walk Retail Park open for business.

Mr Kemp, who was joined by Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins and staff, welcomed Chesterfield residents into the store at 9am, met with fans and hosted a Q&A session.

He said: "It has been an honour to be part of the exciting opening of the Chesterfield Go Outdoors store and fantastic to meet the local community.

"Encouraging the public to get outdoors is really important.

"There is a big world out there with endless adventures to be had - a little encouragement and the right kit is all you need to explore.

"Go Outdoors has equipped me on many of my own adventures and I love to share these stories with my fans."
