Pupils at a Chesterfield primary school have been helping to raise money for vulnerable deaf children and adults by taking part in an annual fundraiser.

Youngsters from Arkwright Primary School took part in Sign to Sing on Monday, learning a specially written song with signs to raise money to help vulnerable deaf children and adults.

Headteacher Sally Ann Seward said: “It’s a fantastic way for children to learn how important communication is while having fun mastering a little sign language and raising money to help improve the health of deaf people.”
