A police spokesperson has now told the Derbyshire Times, however, that there were ‘no suspicious circumstances’ surrounding his death.

The spokesperson explained that the cordon remained in place until this morning because the man’s identity was not yet known.

Overnight, however, the man’s relatives contacted Chesterfield Royal and the hospital then informed police.

The man is believed to have died as a result of a cardiac arrest.
