Two taken to hospital after three car smash

Two people have been taken to hospital after a three car collision on a Derbyshire road.

The crash happened at around 4.30pm on Friday on the northbound carriageway of the A38 in between the Watchorn Island and junction 28 of the M1.

Fire crews from Alfreton and Ashfield attended and removed two casualties from the vehicles.

The casualties were taken by land ambulance to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham and the fire crews left the scene at around 5.15pm.
