Two people rescued after crash in Chesterfield

Firefighters rescued two people following a crash in Chesterfield this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Clifton Street shortly after 3.30pm.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said the collision involved two cars.

The spokesperson added: “Crews extricated two casualties who were left in the hands of East Midlands Ambulance Service.

“Crews made the scene safe and the incident was left with police.”

The Derbyshire Times contacted Derbyshire Constabulary for more information about the incident.

A spokesperson said the force could not provide any further details at this stage.
