Two men arrested after fuel thefts in Derbyshire

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a large quantity of diesel from businesses in Derbyshire.

The men, aged 32 and 22, were arrested after police stopped a van in Eastwood, which they were looking for in connection with the incidents, on Thursday, February 11.

Police said an investigation is currently ongoing into the theft of fuel from vehicles at Alsop Plant and Haulage on Heanor Road, Smalley, and Cloudbass on High Holborn Road, Codnor.

The suspects, from Nottinghamshire, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
