Staff and customers at the TSB bank in Buxton have raised £920 for Blythe House Hospice in memory of Martin Hubbard who sadly died last November.

Martin’s wife, Simone, decided to fundraise for the hospice due to the help and comfort they had provided.

Following almost 30 years of service, Simone received tremendous support from customers, colleagues and friends. Colleague Helen Shepherd organised a raffle, with prizes donated by staff, customers and local businesses.

A spokesperson said: “Simone and all the Buxton TSB staff were overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone involved and would like to express their gratitude for every donation.”

The staff raised £460 which will be doubled by TSB’s match-funding scheme.
