The incident has occurred on the southbound carriageway at Junction 28 for Alfreton/ Mansfield.

Traffic is now building up and the exit slip road to the A38 roundabout is partially blocked as a result of the broken down lorry, with one lane currently closed.

Highways England said the closure is expected to clear by 9.30am this morning (Tuesday, September 21).

Normal traffic conditions should resume thereafter.
