Derbyshire drivers warned of 60 minute delays - as accident closes two lanes on M1

Drivers are being warned of long delays as congestion is building up on the M1 Northbound in Derbyshire.

Two lanes are currently closed on the M1 northbound between J29a near Chesterfield and J30 following a multi-vehicle collision.

Drivers are asked to allow extra journey time as National Highways have warned of delays of up to one hour on approach.

Traffic monitoring website Inrix has reported that traffic is queueing and congestion has built up to Tibshelf Services. Traffic is also congested on the opposite side, back to Woodall Services.
