Delays on M1 near Chesterfield after vehicle fire
There are currently delays of up to 30 minutes on the M1 near Chesterfield after a vehicle fire.
Highways England says the incident northbound between junctions 28 and 29 is expected to be cleared by 10.15am but delays could continue while the vehicle is recovered.
The agency tweeted that three lanes had been closed due to a car fire. Traffic officers and firefighters were at the scene to assist.
They said congestion was ‘building on the approach’ to the incident on the motorway.
