The incident took place at around 6.30pm today (Wednesday, June 22) and early reports suggest a car and a motorcycle have been involved in a collision.
A witness said the accident took place at the junction of Chesterfield Road and Brimington Road.
They added traffic was at a standstill and buses travelling through Brimington are running behind or cancelled.
