Cans of cider strewn across busy Derbyshire road after lorry sheds its load

This was the scene on a busy Derbyshire road after a lorry containing hundreds of cans of cider shed its load.

The cans of Kopparberg were spilled on the A50 at the junction with the A515 in Sudbury during the early hours of this morning, Thursday, July 9.

Drivers were warned to expect delays following the incident but Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit announced shortly before 6am that the road had reopened following a ‘quick response by recovery agents and highways contractors’.
