Bus company TrentBarton extend concessionary pass times during coronavirus crisis

In light of supermarkets and banks making arrangements for vulnerable people to have exclusive access to shops and services, bus company Trent Barton has extended the time their concessionary passes can be used.

A spokesperson for the East Midlands-based bus company said: “Whilst we recognise these are challenging times, we know people rely on our services to get to school, college and work but we also provide a vital lifeline for the elderly and vulnerable customers.

“We have decided to temporarily allow concessionary travel before 9.30am.”

Iceland, Sainsburys, Lidl, and Nationwide Building Society have all made special arrangements for elderly and vulnerable customers to gain exclusive early access to food and services, after stores have been deep-cleaned, to avoid panic buying in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
