Tramway village wins excellence award

Crich Tramway Village has scooped an award at the Derbyshire Heritage Awards held last month. The tramway village won the award for the young persons development programme under the category ‘young people in heritage’. Two of the young volunteers were names as Cameron Sharp and Sam Burton Smith.

Sir Richard Arkwright’s Cromford Mills was the venue for the Derbyshire Heritage Awards, when 90 guests attended the ninth Derbyshire Heritage Awards.

The awards are run by the Derbyshire Museums and Heritage Forum and celebrate the work taking place in museums, historic houses and heritage sites across the county.
