A61 closure: Busy Derbyshire A-road hit by closures over coming days - with drivers warned of potential disruption
Drivers are being warned to brace for disruption along the A61 - with the busy Derbyshire A-road undergoing a series of closures over the coming days.
Derbyshire County Council (DCC) is carrying out pre-patching work on the A61 Chesterfield Road between Stretton and Shirland ahead of future surface dressing along the route.
The work will take place from Monday, October 19 to Wednesday, October 28 - between 8.00pm and 4.00am each night.
A DCC spokesperson said: “Overnight road closures will be in place while we work. Please plan your journey in advance and allow extra time.
“Dates and times may change due to weather conditions or unforeseen issues on site.”
