Bookings are now being taken for the conference, which will also feature James Berresford, chief executive of national tourist board VisitEngland, who will focus on tourism and the importance of the national visitor economy.

Other speakers will be Chris Sellors, managing director of CW Sellors Fine Jewellers, Jim Harrison, managing director of Thornbridge Brewery and Gillian Scotforth of Accessible Derbyshire.

“Our annual conference and exhibition offers the ideal platform for tourism businesses to find out what’s happening in the industry, both locally and nationally, and to do some invaluable networking with both existing colleagues and new contacts,” said David James, the tourist board’s chief executive.

“It’s also a great opportunity to find out more about what Visit Peak District and Derbyshire is doing to raise the area’s profile as a world–class tourism destination.
