Ten year old boy terrified after two men attempt to abduct him
Jemma Smedley, 39, said her son had Alfie been followed by a van with two men who tolf him to “get in”.

Hide AdAlfie had been out playing with a group of friends at the park near Cotmanhay Children’s Centre in Beauvale Drive, Cotmanhay, where the incident occurred at around 6pm yesterday, Friday June 15.
The mum-of-three, who lives nearby, said: “He had ridden ahead from his friends on his bike to head to a local shop when he was followed by the van.
“Some men shouted at him to get in the back. He screamed ‘no’ at them and cycled away when he realised the van had started to follow him.

Hide Ad“He made it back to his friends and the van had then realised he was not alone and sped off. It was at this point he broke down in shock.”
Jemma said since the incident last night, Alfie has been scared of noises and people coming in the house.
She added: “What’s so scary is that it’s just round the corner from where we live. I keep telling him he’s safe in the house now.

Hide Ad“It was only 6pm at night. Kids always get told they don’t go out enough. He has a great group of friends.
Jemma said she has raised the incident with Derbyshire Police and is hoping to look at CCTV on Monday.
Derbyshire Police have been contacted for a comment.
