Teens seriously injured in Snake Pass crash

Two teenagers have been seriously injured following an accident in the Peak District today (Wednesday, April 16).

The two 17–year–old males were back seat passengers in a blue Ford Fiesta which went off the road on Snake Pass, near Bamford, and hit a pine tree.

The car had been driving in the direction of Ladybower Reservoir at 10.40am when the accident occurred.

The two teens were taken to Sheffield Northern General Hospital for treatment.

The driver and front seat passenger of the car were uninjured.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services tended to the scene.
