Teenagers arrested after Dronfield Woodhouse barn fire

Police officers investigating a barn fire in Dronfield Woodhouse made three arrests last night (Thursday April 7).

Three 14-year-old boys, two from Dronfield and one from Sheffield, were arrested, on suspicion of arson, at about 6.30pm, an hour after the fire was reported to the emergency services.

The two boys from Dronfield were questioned and released on police bail, the third remains in police custody and will be questioned today.

The barn and its contents, at a farm on Rod Moor Road, were destroyed in the fire.

Hay and farm machinery, worth thousands of pounds, had been stored within the premises.
