Onuora, who represents Team GB in the women’s 4 x 400m relay, said of the launch: "It was great to chat with so many of the shoppers, swapping healthy meal recipes and taking selfies. As an athlete, it's really important that my diet keeps me performing at the top level. For that, you need high quality, fresh food – and you can't go wrong with Aldi!"

Anyika was helped with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony by store manager Keith Blumenstock and players from Wingerworth Junior Sports Association's under-15s football team.

The Clay Cross store is located on High Street in the town with 121 car-parking bays.
