Summer extravaganza in Matlock

Bundles of family fun is to be had at Castle View Primary School’s Summer Extravaganza on Saturday, July 6.

The event is being held from 11am until 2pm at the school, in Matlock, and boasts flamenco, martial arts, live music, soccer skills, fun photo booth and ‘meet the beasts’.

Richard Thoday, recent winner of the IG London Nocturne Penny Farthing race, will be there with his high wheeler.

Visitors will find traditional and more unusual fair games at the event such as hook-a-duck, teddy tombola, bottle luck or the human fruit machine as well as a bouncy slide, face painting and beat the goalie.

Delicious cakes, hot dogs, hot and cold drinks and ice-cream will be available.

Local businesses have also donated some amazing raffle prizes including entrance tickets to Little Monkeys, Derby County tickets, a Designate clock and a full body massage from Fresh.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Friends of Castle View charity.
