St Mary's pupil wins Chesterfield secondary schools public speaking competition

Chesterfield St Mary's Catholic High School pupil Beverlyn Agyemang has won a public speaking contest with a thought-provoking talk entitled '˜Who Am I'.

The competition for secondary schools was run by Chesterfield Rotary Club for the 52nd consecutive year and held as part of the club’s weekly meeting at the Olde House, Newbold.

Club president Peter Barr presented cups and certificates to Beverlyn and runners-up Matthew Perryman (Whittington Green) and Anton Causey (St Mary’s).
