Then in the early hours of the morning three men were seen breaking into a Nissan Navara on Highfields Road in Dronfield and stole three drills. In nearby Hilltop Road a garage was also burgled and a drill was stolen.

But thieves didn't stop there. Between 2.30 and 3am a Peugeot Partner and a Citroen Berlingo were damaged on Cemetery Road in the town, and tools were stolen from the Peugeot.

In a separate burglary during the last month the garage of a house on Cowley Lane in Holmesfield was entered and a large range-type cooker, garden furniture and golf clubs were stolen.
