Sewers at half way point

Work to install brand new sewers and a treatment station at Hassop is at its half way mark.

Severn Trent Water, which is carrying out the work, says it will offer significant environmental benefits to people living in the local area and will improve the quality of sewage collection and treatment.

The B6001, which was temporarily closed while work was done, has now reopened.

The water company hopes to complete the work in April next year.

Severn Trent Water thanked the public for its continued patience throughout the project.
