Serious collision in Chesterfield involved vehicle and pedestrian, police say

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Chesterfield this afternoon.

It happened around 4.30pm near the junction of Hawksley Avenue and Malvern Road.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “We would like to speak to any witnesses or the drivers of any vehicles who were driving in the Hawksley Avenue and Malvern Road area around that time.

“Officers are currently at the scene, and both roads are currently closed.

“Please find an alternative route.”
