See Santa and his sleigh fly through the sky – on Christmas Eve night!

The International Space Station (ISS) will glide across the East Midlands’ night skies on Christmas Eve – or will it be Santa on his sleigh?

Young and old will be able to look up in festive wonderment as the bright object passes Earth at 5.18pm the night before the big day.

According to astronomers, it will the perfect chance for parents to tell their kids it’s Santa and his sleigh flying overhead... but what’s to say it’s not actually him?

The ISS is the largest space station ever built.

It orbits Earth at 17,500mph at an altitude of roughly 200 miles and can be seen with the naked eye.
