Second man appears in court linked to murder probe
Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard today, Monday, March 14, how Jamie Bray, of Kingsclere Walk, at Grangewood, Chesterfield, has been accused of allegedly committing arson recklessly as to whether life would be endangered and to allegedly assisting Gary Tyson who is alleged to have committed a murder.
Bray’s charges relate to offences allegedly committed on March 3.

Hide AdMagistrates sent Bray’s case to Nottingham Crown Court where it will be further considered during a hearing on March 29.
Bray was remanded in custody.
Gary Tyson, 35, previously appeared at Chesterfield magistrates’ court on Thursday, March 10, charged with the murder of 32-year-old Gemma Stevens after a house fire at her home in Chesterfield.
Mr Tyson, of Shirland Street, Chesterfield, is accused of allegedly murdering Gemma Stevens between March 2 and 3 and allegedly committing arson recklessly as to whether life would be endangered on March 3.
He is also accused of allegedly attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to Gemma Stevens on February 26.

Hide AdMagistrates sent his case to Nottingham Crown Court for a hearing on Friday, March 11, and his case has been further adjourned until July 1.
Mr Tyson was also remanded in custody.
The body of Gemma Stevens, who is thought to have three children, was found at her home on Catherine Street, at Brampton, after firefighters were called out to the blazing property about 2am, on Thursday, March 3.
